What is a Camping Böd?
In Shetland, a böd was a building which accommodated fishermen and their gear during the fishing season. Today we've borrowed the word to describe basic accommodation for those who want a simple holiday. Böds are very basic and to stay in them you'll need exactly what you'd bring on a camping holiday - except the tent!
Each böd is different, but all are in interesting and attractive locations and all have their own history.
